My son found something that was lost, and declared, “Now
daddy will be happy at me!”
Happy at me.
As opposed to mad at me.
I know what he means. Anger can feel like an attack.
How interesting to think of happiness as having the
opposite effect.
If to be angry at someone can injure them, to be “happy
at” someone can heal?
Reconcile?
Redeem?
In Christ, we can be comforted.
Our God is happy at us.
